K. Sidrane prints custom stick packs as roll stock film for brands that fill single serve powders and liquids on vertical form, fill and seal equipment. The film is printed and converted at our flexible packaging facility in Farmingdale, New York.
Stick packs are a printed roll stock format. Printed roll stock is film that comes to you flat on a roll. It is formed, filled and sealed on your own line, so the stick is made at your facility rather than shipped to you empty.
A stick pack is tall and narrow. It runs on a vertical form, fill and seal machine, which pulls the film into a tube, fills it and seals both ends. Stick pack machines typically fill several units across at one time, which makes the format a fit for high volume single serve products. We print the film for the machine you run, so include the make and model of your filling equipment when you ask for a quote.
Stick packs work best when the end consumer is on the go. One stick holds one serving. It tears open easily and gets thrown away once it is empty. It fits in a pocket, a gym bag or a desk drawer, which is why drink mix, supplement and coffee brands sell in this format. K. Sidrane prints the film so the brand reads clearly on the narrow strip of artwork a stick pack gives you.
Stick packs are also a practical way to put samples in customers’ hands. A single dose costs far less to hand out than a full size tub or bag, so brands use sticks for events, trial offers and gifts with purchase. K. Sidrane prints on HP digital presses, so a sample run can carry several flavors or versions without a separate long run for each one.

Stick packs are most common for powders: drink mixes, protein, greens, electrolytes, instant coffee, sweetener and seasoning. They also hold single serve liquids and condiments. What goes inside decides the film. Metallized film protects actives from light and moisture, clear film shows the product, and white film gives the artwork a bright base. Tell us what you are packaging and we will match the film to it.
Supplement brands use stick packs to sell a serving instead of a tub. One stick is one measured dose, which takes the scoop out of the routine and makes the product easy to carry. We print supplement stick packs alongside the labels, cartons and pouches the same brand already uses, so the whole line holds one color standard. More about nutraceutical packaging
Coffee, sweetener, seasoning and drink mix brands use stick packs for portion control. Every stick carries the same amount, so the end user gets a consistent result and nothing goes to waste. K. Sidrane prints food stick pack film with the same finishes offered across our flexible packaging, including premium soft touch matte lamination, spot UV and cold foil. Beauty brands use stick packs for single use powders and for samples that travel well in a mailer or a shopping bag. The narrow format keeps the dose exact and the cost of a trial low. We print beauty stick packs with the same finishing options used on our labels and pouches. More about beauty and cosmetics packaging

The filling equipment usually makes this decision before anything else does. A stick pack runs vertically and seals at both ends of a narrow tube. A sachet runs on a horizontal form, fill and seal machine and seals on three sides into a flat packet. Flow wrap seals a product inside a continuous film with a fin seal on the back. K. Sidrane prints film for all three, so a brand running more than one machine can source every format from one facility. Stick packs and sachets compared
