Pouches are quickly becoming the go-to option for many manufacturers of food, nutraceuticals and consumer goods, among other industries.
There are many benefits to using pouches that make them a superior option. The sleek build provides for easy bulk storage in a manufacturer’s warehouse in addition to more economical shipping to the final destination. They are also more ecofriendly once disposed of than larger containers like glass jars or plastic tubs. Many end consumers even find pouches to be more user-friendly as the opening is wider and more flexible when trying to access the product inside.

The difference between stand up and lay flat pouches is exactly as it sounds – how they are meant to be displayed. Lay flat pouches are flatter and designed to lay on the shelf for display, or be stacked on a hook using hang holes. Stand up pouches have a gusseted bottom that keeps them standing upright for display on the shelf. High quality art work will pop even more on a stand up pouch due to the nature of this display.

Roll stock is another type of popular flexible packaging that is most popular among single-serve and sample-sized products. Roll stock is printable film that will come in a flat, printed roll and then formed, filled and sealed at the manufacturer’s facility.
Types of roll stock offered include:
Stick packs are a great option to provide when the end consumer will be on-the-go. Stick packs work in vertical form, fill and seal machines and typically will be filled multiple units across at one time. The material is easy to tear open and then dispose of for a single-serve usage. This is another great method to dispense samples to consumers.
Sachets
Sachets work with a horizontal form, fill and seal machine for a 3-sided seal. These will turn into flat sealed packets. Sachets are ideal for use with powders, liquids and gels. Many manufacturers rely on sachets for things like promotional sample items.
Flow Wrap
Flow wraps are typically made with plastic films to create a package with a fin seal on the back. These are filled in a continuous packing method that seals off the product on both ends. Flow wraps are most commonly used with food items, and some non-food items like medical supplies and toys. These are also intended for products with a single use that do not need to be repackaged for storage purposes.
All of our flow wraps are custom printed. Items offered include snack webs, cosmetic web, forming films, and heat seal polypros. Special items are also available upon request.
