Our expertise

Our expertise is custom packaging solutions. We work with hundreds of clients throughout dozens of industries across North America and beyond. In 2023 we officially opened the doors to a secondary facility—also located in Farmingdale—dedicated to creating flexible packaging. This helped us to broaden our offering even more and become a true one-stop-shop for our clients’ packaging needs.

Our team

Our team consists of over 90 employees, each working diligently to make sure your brand’s message is conveyed with the utmost care. As a group we are always learning and growing to better our business for our customers’ benefit. We have a thirst for innovation that is fueled by regular investments in new technology. You’ll frequently find our press operators in the plant testing new materials, equipment and processes.

K. Sidrane

Origins

K. Sidrane got its start back in 1948 from an apartment on New York City’s Bank Street; where company founder Harold Sidrane built one of the converting industry’s first presses right in his home. After he completed service in World War II as a Merchant Marine, Harold arrived back in New York to figure out a path for his career. A trained engineer, he eventually decided to build his own converting press—the one that started it all for us. This press was one of the first machines to comprise what would eventually become the United States’ expansive printing and converting industry.

The Early Days

In the 1950’s, with the help of his wife Katherine, Harold turned his machine into a full-fledged manufacturing business and K. Sidrane, Inc. was born. The press was moved to a plant in Freeport, NY and investments were made in additional equipment to expand the business’ offerings. Their youngest son, Neil, current owner and CEO, began working with the company in the 1970’s. With more than 40 years of industry experience to his name, he has become a true field expert in his own right.

Devastation Hits

K. Sidrane enjoyed its beautiful waterfront home in Freeport for more than 60 years, right up until Superstorm Sandy hit in 2012. In just a couple of hours, the most destructive storm to ever land in the northeast turned decades of hard work into puddles of mud and debris. The devastating losses forced the company to reevaluate its home near the water, and eventually make the tough choice to relocate inland to Farmingdale, NY.

Rebuilding

We are, however, happy to say that we opened the doors to our current state-of-the-art facility in Farmingdale in 2014 and haven’t looked back. With double the amount of space and pristine working conditions, we have had room to grow and invest in the latest equipment and technology to best benefit our customers. In 2023 we expanded even further to another building in the same region, and the future has never been brighter.

The Legacy Continues

Today, the third generation of leadership is working to expand K. Sidrane in its own right. Neil’s children Arielle, Zachary and Adam have all joined the team in recent years to bring a fresh perspective to the business. The goal of the third generation of company leadership is to honor and expand upon the legacy of their grandfather and father for many years to come, while keeping K. Sidrane synonymous with the unbeatable quality and service our customers have come to rely on.
