Have You Taken a Virtual Tour of the K. Sidrane Facility?

since 1948

You see a label. We see a lifetime of tradition. It all started with a spark of an idea back in 1948. Inside his New York City apartment, engineer Harold Sidrane invented one of the world’s first converting machines. Later that year, with the help of his wife Katherine, K. Sidrane Inc. was born, calling Freeport, New York home. What started with converting material for medical supplies and government tape soon expanded into the rapidly growing print industry. After 65 years, Harold passed the company down to his youngest son Neil, whose inclination to invest in new technology has kept K. Sidrane on the cutting edge of the print world. Today, K. Sidrane is a 3rd generation family-owned packaging company leading the way with a fresh new perspective.

We still work on medical device packaging, but now our range of expertise covers so much more.

We love to have customers to our operation in person, but we know that it’s not always possible to. We’re happy to bring K. Sidrane to you.

HP digital label printing presses

Printing

When your art is finalized, we move to the printing stage where we use our top-of-the-line HP digital printers.

In the past, printing was, well, more of a tedious process. Today, digital printing allows your graphics to contain an unlimited number of colors and tones, making your art as intricate as you dream it. Our HP Indigo presses use IndiChrome print technology to bring your vivid imagery to life.

We could also gang multiple SKUs which saves time and money.

Finishing

When the printing process is complete, your labels are transferred here to our AV graphics Digicon series finishing machines.

Our newest model includes a state-of-the-art digital embellishment unit, the DigiJet. This exclusive equipment can create the special details on your label 100 percent digitally without plates or screens. With our ABGs, we also offer screen printing, hot stamping, cold foiling, embossing, debossing, and thermal lamination. Basic jobs get laminated and die cut, but if you’re looking for something more, we can add countless finishing decorations to give your items that extra pop they deserve.

We’re constantly checking for quality throughout the production cycle with both our seasoned staff and digital inspection system. Here in finishing, is the final check. Die cut rolls now go from one large roll to single rolls. Your labels are then packaged and shipped out to you. But the life of your label doesn’t end there. Your vision has now become reality and we are excited to see where it goes.
